Erzhausen is a small community in the county of Hessen Darmstadt - Dieburg. Its central location between Darmstadt and Frankfurt in the Rhein-Main area, the community with approximately 7500 inhabitants which you can reach via the federal highway 3, both (20 min) of Frankfurt as (15min) and of Darmstadt, the A5 (Frankfurt, Darmstadt, exit Weiterstadt) and A661 (end of motorway Egelsbach) or public transport of Darmstadt - Dieburger transport organization and the RMV as train from Frankfurt / Darmstadt or bus via Weiterstadt. Not only does it have the proximity to the cities of the region, but also the recreational opportunities around the area improved the quality of life. Whilst the Odenwald is almost on the doorstep and Taunus in sight, the Rhein can be reached by bicycle. The Frankfurter airport binds Erzhausen to the international flight network. The airfield of Egelsbach is ready for air travel within the country. Also visit the flight school Egelsbach or simply prepare an aircraft or a helicopter sightseeing flight. The Egelsbach Airport is approximately 3 km from Erzhausen.

A variety of shops can be found in the Southern Ring Road such as box stores, retail stores, etc. But also banks, hairdressers, hotels, sports and leisure activities are available in Erzhausen. Whether walking, jogging or biking, you'll be surrounded by forests and meadows. Horseback riding, golf, swimming, sauna and much more ... all on your doorstep!

The Erzenhauer train station was built 1903. In 1997 the railway line was extended with the introduction to the RMV. Since then, the S-Bahn line S3 runs every half-hour to Darmstadts main station and in the Taunus to Bad Soden Langen and Frankfurt. This is a clear advantage especially for commuters and fair working.

Frankfurt is measured the second largest exhibition center in the world after Hannover. The exhibition center in west Frankfurt lies in the districts of Bockenheim and Westend-Süd. It has direct motorway access (A648) and parking at the Rebstock. By public transport it is accessible via the metro and tram stop at Festhalle / Messe (U4, U16 and U17) and the S-Bahn Frankfurt Messe (lines S3-S6). The train station and the exhibition gatehouse lies almost exactly in the middle of the two divided by the railway line fairgrounds.

To get to the Frankfurt Waldstadion or the Commerzbank Arena you can also take commuter trains and are just as easy to reach the city of Frankfurt.

Darmstadt is a city in the south of Hessen, the administrative center of the district and the district of Darmstadt Darmstadt - Dieburg. The city belongs to the Rhein-Main area and the Starkenburg Region and is one of the ten central cities of Hessen. Darmstadt, with 150,000 inhabitants, is after Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden and Kassel, the fourth largest city of the state of Hessen. The nearest large towns are Frankfurt (about 30 km north), Wiesbaden and Mainz (about 40 km north-west), Mannheim (about 45km south) and Heidelberg (about 55 km south).

Their importance as a science city (this title was awarded in 1997 by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior) was thanks to the Technical University founded in 1877  and the two colleges with approximately 38,000 students and more than 30 other research centers and institutes, including the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) and three institutes of the Fraunhofer Society. There are also large companies and institutions of communication and IT industry engaged in applied research and development. Whether Telekom, Wella or Darmstadt largest employer Merck Group, a world-wide leading chemical, pharmaceutical and life science company with more than 40,000 employees,  Darmstadt drives  economic potential and is an important central point for Hessen.

The commercial area of Egelsbach is about a 3 minute drive away from Erzhausen and offers for example furniture stores, electric markets, many car accessories, discount stores, restaurants and fast food chains.
